SSL Certificate Provider Offers Multiyear Agreements to Clients

GlobalSign, the leading worldwide provider of SSL certificate authority services, announced on Monday that it has set up a new multiyear secure email certificate called PersonalSign. This system is a cryptographic digital certificate which ensures secure email content and lets the email recipients know the true email address and identity of the sender. This also ensures that the dedicated servers for companies have unlimited security regardless of the bandwidth.

The announcement was made following the recent partnership made between GlobalSign and SingleHop, a web hosting company. The latter will be providing SSL certificates to its clients.

The press release stated that the multiyear secure email certificates agreement allows users to renew less frequently which avoids unnecessary disconnection of service due to expired certificates. Aside from that, the clients can enjoy attractive pricing packages resulting from the multiyear agreements.

The launching of this new service came at an appropriate time since GlobalSign’s fiercest competitor Thatwe, owned by VeriSign, has revealed that it will continue offering secure email certificates.

Security email certificates can easily be installed in email clients like Microsoft Outlook. This allows users to digitally sign and encrypt their emails. Digitally signing an email means that the message sent has not been altered, thus assuring credibility and integrity of the message.

The PersonalSign certificates expands beyond Outlook since users can digitally sign Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint files as well as people on managed servers.
