N-Dubz Feel the Pressure of Fame
N-Dubz singer Tulisa has admitted that she is struggling to cope with the pressures of being famous.
The 21-year-old claimed that she is looking forward to royalties coming through from the trio’s new album Against All Odds so that she can buy herself a house in the country.
“Being famous bloody annoys me. I find it tough and that’s why I can’t wait to get my own place and move out of London and lock myself away,” she told the Daily Star.
“I’ve just had enough of everything and I want to hide away. I want somewhere which can be like a new start. Hopefully I should be getting my own place once the album pay cheque comes in after Christmas.
“I can’t wait to sort out my head and have my own space on my days off.”
N-Dubz have claimed that they are not worried about the position their second album Against All Odds reaches in the charts.
The ‘I Need You’ trio, who release the new record on November 16, said that they are more concerned about securing strong overall sales.
“We’re more worried about shifting units than any chart position. Album sales are so important,” Dappy told the Daily Star.
Tulisa added: “I learnt that last year with our debut album Uncle B, which went in at number five and then dropped.
“I cried because I thought records only sold in the first few weeks, but then I realised it’s all about overall sales.”
Dappy recently revealed that the new LP includes “epic and clubby” sounding songs.
N-Dubz’s debut album Uncle B was released in November 2008 and has sold over 500,000 copies.
